Should I pinch protein?


If I'm trying to lose weight but want to backing the growth of muscles. I'm really overweight and wondering if taking protein powder would be a good food subsistute since I'm on a fruit diet. And that I also workout and want to declare muscles growth. If so what protein product do you recommend, i heard whey protein is pretty righteous?
