i've been staple biteing for ever. i can't stop, i'll be in the movies, jogging, doing anything and i can't stop. Any tips, Please Help.

I had be nail biting forever as all right. I asked my Doc if he knew of anything that would back. He suggested getting acrylic nails put on. They are tough and the paste they use holds tight. I went to the staple salon got some crazy looks and have a set put on. I could not chew them and when I tried to tear of strips from the side, it hurt resembling hell because of the way the paste was stuck to the genuine nail. I quit chewing after the first set have grown out to where they needed to any be taken off or replaced. I be able to not bite my nail for 9 months until I got into a exceedingly stressfull time and started biting again. I have an appointment subsequent week with the salon again so here go...

I do it too...and I'm 57 years old! It's not an attractive article to do, and I mostly do it to stay awake on the freeway!!

I have be biting my nails for ever... I can't really remember a time when I didn't bite them. I do it when I'm stressed, bored, doesn`t matter what. I've tried that nail polish that taste bad (FYI: it's clear) but that didn't really stop me. I've tried using regular pin polish as I've had nation tell me if they look pretty (IE: colored) you won't want to bite them, that didn't work any. I've tried fake nail... okay so unlike any other female that uses them, I'm utterly useless beside them on... had tried them a few years fund when I was still contained by High School and I had to win help getting dressed...so when I vote I was utterly useless beside them, I mean it. LOL It didn't do much for me because I after started biting off the skin around my nail...

I managed to grow them rather bit when I was around 22 and it last a month, then the biting begin again... i have equal problem...but someone on here with a 'similar' problem said it be about stress. explicitly not completely true, i actually bite smaller quantity during stress because i am so worried about other things. for me, it have become a habit...even when i don't want to do it, i do it. i become overcome, in a sense, going on for getting that little bit of nail on my pin off. sometimes i bleed myself while taking too much of it bad.
