For an avid nouns, is it ok to take 4 days past its sell-by date lifting once every few months?

I work out 4-5 days a week every week. Once every couple months I get definite busy and cant work out for 3-4 days in a row. How much is that in fact hurting me taking that many days stale? or does it actually relieve to take breaks approaching that every so often?
