It could be stress or something to do with his digestive system. Either course, see your doctor and get him checked out. This could be serious and the stomach sour could cause destroy in the throat. My son have a condition similar to this when he was a child and it required surgery. Another human being I know was beneath tremendous stress and they attributed the problem to high stress. Your husbands issue could be similar. See doctor and catch checked out.
