I had it done almost 3 years ago and it took about 2 months to restore to health completely... At times it looked like it wasn't going to, but it did in due course.
One thing I be told to do is make up some stunted salt dampen solution and use that every day to verbs it... it stings a little, but it help the healing process, and it help disinfect the area too.
A anodyne, black tea can also be used to speed up healing
(and both these options are cheaper than neosporin!)
Don't be surprised too if in attendance is a minor secondary infection... It's completely common and is easilty treated next to anti biotics...
