I heard you can tone your arms, pecs, and abs by staying suspended in an altered mid pushup position, until you have a feeling burning in the muscles. Is this true

Try pilates. Yeah, mostly women do it, but trust me, it's the Devil's workout! I use DVDs at home, so shop around and see what you can find. I just started using 10 minute solution swift results pilates featuring Lara Hudson. You can customize your workout beside this DVD, and it has an insane modified push-up move call "twisting snake" or something like that- you hold it for similar to, 200 years I swear. I don't know if that's what you're thinking of but it sounds close. The cool thing is that you don't obligation to buy any gear except maybe a mat to work out on.
