Why when you obtain a mammogram they ask you not to wear deodorant?

Many deodorants contain a material within them which can leave tiny deposits on the skin. These deposits can look similar to microcalcifications. One of the early signs of breast cancer are reliable types of microcalcifications. You would hate to own a radiologist read your mammogram films, see suspicious microcalcifications, call you put a bet on for additional metaphors, only to find out your deodorant be to blame! You should also avoid perfumes and powders contained by the breast and underarm area for one and the same reason.

By the bearing, men do have mammograms when a suspicious lump is feel in his breast, and men are diagnosed next to breast cancer.

"I heart U" is misled. Deodorant does not exact breast cancer. and that is not the principle we ask you do not wear deodorant.

Deodorants contain tiny metal particles (Aluminum salt, etc) that, perfectly clustered contained by the upper portion of the breast, where the backside of your armpit happen to be, can look like a cancer lower than mammograms. That deodorant can also obstruct the scenery of the breast tissue. When a radiologist sees deodorant "artifact" contained by the mammogram image, he/she have me take the picture over short deodorant...causing extra discomfort and radiation to that breast.
