While I have no proof bar experience. I can tell you that my two uncles on my father's side who wore hat most of their lives went lacking hair, while my father and other uncle on that side did not. On my mother's side, my uncle which wore a hat daily also have extreme hair loss from his 50's on and is very soon near smooth on top at 68, while his two brothers have no such problems. My masculine cousins of the balding uncles have no such issues but hold never worn hats.
Of course to top this stale, there is everyday genetic balding which may take place that have nothing to do next to hats, of late pure luck that a man received a gene from his ancestors that makes them smooth on top.

Someone here said they attended good looks school and they said it be a myth....but I beg to differ. I also attended attractiveness school and cultured that it does in certainty, smother the hair follicles...which doesn't so much motivation you to LOSE the hair, but it does restrict growth and if you are already losing, it will speed up the process. It will also hold on to any new growth from coming so in the long permanent status, you could relate your hair loss to wearing a hood. Also any kind of steam styling can cause tresses loss...usually due to breakage. A nice head squeeze, which will get the blood circulation going truly helps to grow your spike too.
