Hi - I'm a 20 year old manly, 5"7, I know it's not ridiculously short, but compared with my kith and kin (Dad 6"2, Grandad 6"5), it is.

I've been doing some research on when growth plates close in males, and the responses own been range from 14 to 30!

Does anyone here know roughly at what age growth plates close? (With source!)

Also, what are my chances of my plates still person open - I look deeply young for my age (I look around 16/17 - lone started getting hair on my chest ~ 6 months ago!), is it determined by age, or puberty?
